to this blog too often. I am not writing this because I want you to be reading my daily (definitely not so daily) thoughts on various subjects. This blog is not about me, it is about you. If my posts can help in any way to give guidance for people to take responsibility for their lives, health and well-being ~ physically, mentally or spiritually ~ then that is all for the good, but the real work is done by you, through you and for you. You are the important one ~ your body, your mind and your soul are meant to be working in a holistic union, all parts working as one. This takes much time and effort, and many people and organizations would prefer that all your time and energies be taken up with them and their interests, so that you don’t have any time left to keep yourself in balance, and at your optimal operating temperature.
Also. Yes, I am using this blog to promote WorldWide Cruise Line‘s Caribbean Cruise Game iPhone and iPad App. That is because that I believe that this view of over 500 years in the history of one of the most beautiful areas on this planet ~ and of the peoples who live there and have fought battles and spilled blood as different countries and their latter-day and modern-day pirates came to these island shores and looted, pillaged and plundered the natural resources of these sun-kissed isles ~ may be of assistance in helping others find some peace and tranquillity in their lives, thereby helping them to come to terms with some of the bigger questions in this life, such as; to what purpose have we come to this world?; how can we live our lives with responsibility?; how can we improve the lives of our fellow (wo)man? This App. may help to give children and grown-ups an appreciation of the world as it really is, and hopefully the Island Cards and Ship Cards will help guide players to live a life more in the current moment, and break the cycle of war, greed and violence that, as everyone can see, continues on today in other far away lands.
There are many “Traditions” out there that may help those who are already seeking a simpler life that is more connected to love than to hate. Many of these Traditions, for example ~ Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto, Sikhism and Buddhism ~ might be said to have a a common universal truth if one delves below the surface to try and find the deeper spiritual meaning inside of the everyday teachings; and that one may find the Absolute Reality if one practices these inner teachings in one’s life. The only problem is that these Traditions come with sometimes thousands of years of baggage attached to them, in consequence of the conflicts that have arisen between different groups of believers. There is also the good news that many of these Traditions have a more “mystical” side, which, if the seeker of Truth is willing, will help to guide him or her in the art of awakening themselves from their deep slumber and help to loosen the ties of the material world that we have been inhabiting; and also help each and every wanderer to begin the path of really “knowing yourself”, which since the beginning of time has been the task of Mankind.
So, we will all have very little time for leisure (and reading blogs) in the foreseeable future … as we are going to be very busy in our practice of fulfilling the one true role in life.
