Ship Card (visiting Island N-104)
~ When visiting Dominica on board ss Mayan Sun, visit the National Museum in Roseau and see wonderful prints portraying 18th Century life on the island, with views of the lives of the free Creoles, plantations at work, local dancers, the linen market and women washing clothes in streams. More recent art can be found at galleries showing Dominica’s leading artists working in a variety of media; oils, acrylics, watercolors, wood sculptures and air brush. If you are lucky you will be visiting at the same time as Domfesta which highlights the past literary greats who lived on and wrote about this vibrant island … as well as it’s present day playwrights, poets, artists and musicians. ~
