~ When ss Magellan docks in St.Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), see if you can find a dockside bookshop to pick up some Caribbean reading for those days spent by the ship’s pool. One of the best Caribbean reads is “Don’t Stop The Carnival” by Herman Wouk, supposedly set in a hotel somewhere between St.Thomas and St.Croix. ~
